Here is another article, by de Jongste JC, Carraro S, Hop WC, et al. [Daily telemonitoring of exhaled nitric oxide and symptoms in the treatment of childhood asthma. Am J Respir Crit Care Med. 2009;179:93-97.], which concludes that monitoring of exhaled nitric oxide levels, when done in addition to regular telemonitoring of asthma symptoms, did not result in improved asthma control.
