Bloodless Diabetes Monitoring

My parents asked me about bloodless diabetes monitoring. This is a great question. Such a machine would be revolutionary and widely used.
So the upside would be that the manufacturer would make vast sums of money rapidly. The downside: it is easier said than done.

First the short answer: there is nothing available anywhere.

Now the long answer. I searched the internet and read up on a number of websites. Cyganus sold a F.D.A.-approved device from 2001 until 2007. They voluntarily withdrew it from the market. Other companies continue to do research.

Until then, watch how much you eat and consider reducing your serving sizes. Get regular exercise. If you have diabetes, check your blood glucose levels routinely as recommended by your doctor, chart them, and discuss your medications with your doctor.
